Session Vocalist Services

Lyssa is creative and writes melodies that express the words of the song delivering a emotional, melodic lyric. She also creates tight layered harmonies that bring a fullness and drive in songs. She is very accommodating to the writers goal and most often delivers beyond their goals. She is versatile in styles, has a strong belt, and a four octave range.

Lyssa has a home multitrack recording studio where she can record full live band recordings and single session vocals. She uses Logic Pro software. Lyssa also plays keys, reads charts and sheet music and can record keyboard tracks.

Vocal Coaching

Lyssa taught elementary and middle school music for several years. She was a choral director for an adult church choir in Virginia and a vocal coach in a Loudoun County summer program called "School of Rock."

Lyssa specializes in vocal coaching which is preparing a singer for a performance or competition. There is so much more to singing than hitting clean notes. You are delivering a message, telling a story, and taking your audience on a journey. Every word and phrase matters.

Lyssa has taught singers at all levels and truly believes everyone can sing and SHOULD sing. Everyone should own a sturdy coffee table and a round hairbrush so they can close their blinds and sing their tails off! Singing increases endorphins which make people feel good. The word music comes from the Greek word "muse" which means "spirit." It is no wonder why music is used in worship and therapy. Singing makes people feel better. It's a fact.
